The History

 

Frustrated with what they perceived as the “stuffy UK beer market,” founders James Watt and Martin Dickie embarked on a transformative journey at the young age of 24. Armed with bold vision and some daring bank loans, they set out to challenge the status quo.

 

In the modest town of Fraserburgh in northeast Scotland, they began crafting their own hardcore craft beers. Operating on a shoestring budget, they brewed small batches, filled bottles by hand, and introduced their inaugural beers at local markets from a weathered old van, marking the inception of BrewDog.

 

From these humble beginnings, BrewDog has burgeoned into a phenomenon, producing millions of beers, and achieving milestones such as the establishment of a dedicated hotel. Their narrative is one of continual success and innovation in the dynamic world of craft brewing.

Making the Gin

 

Having revolutionised the “stuffy UK beer market,” BrewDog turned its innovative spirit toward the “mainstream” realm of gin, aiming to redefine the landscape with big, bold flavours. Prioritising taste as the focal point of the drinking experience, LoneWolf gin emerges as a testament to this commitment.

 

The distillers at BrewDog Distilling Company pay homage to juniper in its unadulterated, imperfect form, infusing five times more juniper than the average craft gin. Distilled at their headquarters in Aberdeenshire using the world’s first triple bubble copper-pot still, LoneWolf gin distinguishes itself within the spirits landscape. Each bottle proudly boasts carbon neutrality, reflecting the company’s dedication to sustainability.

 

Handcrafted and distilled in bespoke copper pot stills, LoneWolf gin undergoes a meticulous process. Infused with a unique blend of the finest botanicals, the gin stands out for its distinctive character. BrewDog Distilling Company takes pride in crafting LoneWolf gin from scratch, utilising their Abstrakt Vodka as the base spirit – a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality.

 

Overflowing with notes of lavender and citrus, intertwined with a forage of feral Scots pine, LoneWolf gin boldly prioritises flavour. With a robust juniper backbone stealing the show, LoneWolf emerges as a gin that sets a new standard, placing emphasis on an unrivalled and fierce tasting experience.

LoneWolf Peach and Passionfruit Gin 70CL – Signature LoneWolf Gin is infused with juicy, fresh white peach, sweet bright passionfruit and a hint of yuzu delivering a sweet, warming citrus.

Suggested Serve: As a Tom Collins. Pour LoneWolf Gin over cubed ice, pineapple syrup, lime juice and top with soda water, garnish with a wedge of lime.

 

LoneWolf Bramble and Raspberry Gin 70CL – Bursting with notes of freshly harvested berries, it’s a mixed medley of ripe and juicy fruits. Flavours of jammy raspberries support our signature Tuscan juniper.

Suggested Serve: Pour LoneWolf Gin over cubed ice and top with light tonic, garnish with a wedge of lime and fresh raspberries.
